Over thanksgiving break I was able to see a few movies! I saw Twilight, Australia and IronMan. I enjoyed all of them!

Twilight i thought was a good movie but overall i was disappointed with it! I wasn't happy that they left out one of my favorite scenes! But got over that and finally accepted that. But sadly to say i was very disappointed in the special effect! For a blockbuster movie you would of thought that they would of put a lot more money in the special effects! The effect were really cheesy!!! They looked really fake when you wanted them to look real! When you have been imagining these character and their talents for such a long time you want them to be amazing on the screen! I was very surprised that the acting was pretty okay! I thought Kristen Stewart did very nice job with the role of Bella. Robert Pattinson did a wonderful job playing Edward! I did think he acting was little bad at some moments but overall i thought he did a wonderful job!

I also saw the movie Australia over the break! I LOVED Australia! I thought they did a beautiful job with everything! I loved the soundtrack, it captured the mode of the whole story! The cinematography was beautifully done! They did a wonderful job capturing the spirit of Australia and natives! The acting was PERFECT! I thought the little boy was so awesome and Nicole Kidman and Hugh Jackman did a fantastic job capturing their characters. I would recommend this movie to everyone!

I also saw the movie IronMan! I surprisingly really enjoyed it! I told myself i am not going to see another superhero film. But my best friend kept telling me you will really like it! And i did! I thought acting was done nicely, especially Robert Downy Jr. He did a very nice job! He did a really great job especially in the comedic moments. I also thought the special effects were amazing!!!! They looked like it could of totally exist in real life.

IronMan was just a great thrill ride! And i would recommend this movie to almost everyone!

I really enjoyed the movie Bringing up Baby!!! I thought it was a lot of fun!! Cary Grant and Katharine Hepburn did a wonderful job acting in it!!! Grant had perfect timing with all his comedy and Hepburn did a very nice job with it!!! I did enjoy the movie alot but sometimes it did get annoying. First of all, lets me be honest the plot was a little stupid! David (Grant) is a paleontologist trying to get funding for his museum! So he is talking to a wealthy client's lawyer to get the funding! Along the way he meets a crazy women , Susan (Hepburn) And she makes his life like hell! She does the worst things to him and sadly you don't really have that much sympathy for him because he just takes it! Anyways Susan receives this leopard from her brother called baby. And what a surprise it escapes! When you really think about it...the plot is very stupid! But i really did enjoy the movie! And i would have to say it is on my top 10 favortie movies! But a warning not everyone likes this movie! A lot of people don't! So don't blame me if you hate this movie! A lot of people hate the character Susan and they just want her to shut up! I even felt that way! But i would still recomend this movie to anyone who loves screwball comedies!

The other movie we watched was Groundhog day! I thought this was a very clever movie. Bill Murray stars as a mean selfish person and he learns he wakes reliving one day over and over again! He can't figure out why but it is just happening to him! I thought this movie was very creative!! I like this movie because a lot of times we want to relive a certain day again either because it was so wonderful or because you would of done something completly different! And Murray's character goes through all sorts of emotions that anyone would go through! In alot of ways he is a very relatable character, many people identify with this character!

I loved the romantic comedy unit!!! I think it should of been twice as long!

My Darling Clementine has to be one of the worst movies i have ever seen!!!! I am not trying to be mean but it is true!!
I felt that they could of done so much more!!! The acting was really bad, i thought the plot was stupid, and they had really weak and pitifull female roles. The acting had no point to it! I thought there wasn' t that much character development. You didn't really get a sense of who they are! Of course you knew the very basic stuff but not much else.
I think they shouldn't have even put female characters in this movie! There job was to stand around and look pretty. And that is not right. Good movies have strong male and female roles. Clementine and Chihuahua you can tell just based on the names that there are not going to have good parts. Clementine was atleast some what intelligent. But Chihuahua wasn't. If this movie had strong female parts then i think their could of maybe been some hope for this movie.

On the other hand, I did like the movie Once upon a time in the west. I thought that movie was very good! There was only one female lead but she was very strong. I enjoyed every minute of this movie! I like the mystery of Hermonica and Frank! The script was very well written! And the directing/ cinematography was beautifully done. I also thought the soundtrack was fantastic!!!! Everyone had their own music and you could tell who was going to be in the shot based on the music!! Each one was so completly different and great!! This soundtrack is probably one of the most creative and beautiful soundtracks out there!

Once upon a time in the west was a way better movie than My Darling Clementine!

We have just finished watching a movie called Citizen Kane. Some call this movie the best movie ever made. I think it was a very solid movie but i wouldn't call it the best movie ever made. I thought Welles did a nice job of directing the movie. I thought the beginning and ending shots were really cool. I like when we started the movie it was like we slowly entered Xanadu. It felt like we didn't belong their. And then the ending shot when were it is just like the beginning but in reverse. I thought that was very clever. It was closing the story of his life.

I would have to say one of my favorite scenes of the movie was when Kand and his wife were sitting down to breakfast. They showed time passing so well. You saw the cycle of marriage. At first you love them and then you want to be with them all the time. But as the relationship grows you don't feel that need as much. Welles did a wonderful job explaining a relationship with almost no words. That is why i love that scene so much. It is so cleverly done.

I think Orson Welles did a great job acting in the movie. When I watched the movie i wanted to hate Kane. I thought he was so mean, he left his wife and kid to be with someone else. He treated his friends very poorly. He used the public. And overall he was just not a likable guy. And yet i still had a lot of sympathy for him. I was still wanted him to succeed. Not many "bad" characters have that quality. All he wanted was to be loved. He had all the money in the world, he bought thousands of things for the people he loved. He try to buy his wifes love but in the end they both left him. Money can't buy you everything you need. Kane never fully understands that. And i think that is why we all have sympathy for him. I felt really bad for the guy.

I thought the central theme of the story was money can't buy you happiness. Kane proved it by buying everything in the world and still he wasn't happy and both of his wifes still weren't happy at all and all of them felt very alone. I felt like that was the central message of the story.

Overall i thought that Citizen Kane was a very good movie.
